PERFORMERS from Pinewood Gym enjoyed success at the British Tumbling Championships at the Echo Arena in Liverpool recently.

Things started with a bang for Pinewood as Sebastian Williams performed brilliantly to amass a score of 98.8 in the 9-10 boys, making him the new British champion.

The 9-10 girls followed and Lottie Clarke and Scarlett Hutton finished fifth and eighth in the finals respectively, while Sophie Barrington ended the qualifiers in 13th place.

In the 11-12 boys’ event, Jack Williams held his nerve in the final to finish in second place with a score of 87.4 overall.

Izzy Clarke won the bronze medal with a score of 88.6, with Georgina Elliott finishing fourth with 88.1 in the girls 11-12 age group. Isabelle Clarke and Georgina Elliott qualified comfortably for the finals, while Bethany Austin finished in 12th place in the qualifiers.

In the 15-16 boys, Dominic Mensah finished in second place and took a very well deserved silver medal.

Tilly Nash starred in the 17-18 girls, with three excellent runs over both days giving her the silver medal with a score of 94.4.

All three senior women qualified for the final with Lucie Colebeck finishing in second place with 134.9, Yasmin Taite in third with 130.6 and Eleanor Head in fifth.
