Families in Wokingham left a retirement community very happy after a cracking day of Easter egg hunts and feasting on chocolatey treats.

Hosted by McCarthy Stone at its Retirement Living development, Oakingham Place on Reading Road, the Easter egg-stravaganza brought together grandparents, parents and little ones from the local area to celebrate the first signs of spring.

With plenty of chocolatey rewards up for grabs and a grand prize for whoever found the most hidden treats, visitors didn’t wait around to track down the brightly coloured Easter eggs hidden in and around the development.

Guests were also treated to a glass of fizz to enjoy with a homemade hot cross bun, as they mingled with homeowners before being invited on a tour of the stylish accommodation and superb communal spaces.

Created for the over 60s with independence and community at its heart, Oakingham Place offers 34 one and two-bedroom luxury retirement apartments.
