Residents are being warned of the closure of two level crossings in Wokingham during "major" Network Rail works.
Star Lane Level Crossing and Wokingham Level Crossing are being closed by Network Rail to upgrade the signalling equipment controlled by the Feltham Area Signalling Centre and Wokingham Signal Box.
The works aim to improve the reliability of the crossing.
Wokingham Level Crossing on Barkham Road will be the first to close, with work set to begin from 10pm on Friday, January 26 until 4am on February 19.
Star Lane Level Crossing on Easthampstead Road will later close from 10pm on February 2 until 4am on February 19.
A Wokingham Borough Council spokesperson said: "During these works, they will be renewing the track at the double junction at Wokingham taking it from the currently manually controlled system, to the modern electronically controlled equivalent.
"The level crossings will be closed throughout, and a diversionary route will be in place for the duration of the works – as well facilities for pedestrians (including those with disabilities) and cyclists. Please also be aware that Rail Replacement buses will run from February 10 to February 18."
