Overall, a crowd of 1,007 saw the Robins lift the trophy, but the match was overshadowed by ‘homophobic abuse’ being reported by some spectators to stewards.

In a statement that was shared on Twitter, the Berks & Bucks FA said: “We have been made aware of an incident involving homophobic abuse by spectators.

“We are actively investigating the incident and will take appropriate action in accordance with FA Regulations.

“There is absolutely no place for this behaviour in our game.”
