Thirteen local school children have been announced as the winners of this year’s Christmas Art competition organised by The Lexicon.

The competitors were asked to create bright and colourful snowflakes which will be showcased in the town centre’s Snowflake Trail this Christmas.

Young artist Hannah Misselbrook age 6, who is a pupil at St Michael’s Easthampstead Primary School was chosen as the winner.

Matthew Barker age 10, a pupil at Our Lady’s Prep School, was also applauded for his design in this year’s competition.

Both will be awarded £200 worth of art supplies for their school and individual gift vouchers for The Lexicon.

This includes a Giotto Stilnovo art set to use at home.

Sue Boor, head of marketing at The Lexicon says: “We were delighted to receive almost 200 entries for this year’s Christmas Art competition.   As always it was an extremely difficult task to narrow the lovely designs down to the 13 that will appear in our Snowflake Trail, as all the entries were fabulous.

“A huge thank you to Daler Rowney for their continued support.”
