1. Bracknell company ‘named and shamed’ by HMRC for unpaid tax
A Bracknell business has been ‘named and shamed’ on the latest government list of deliberate tax defaulters.
The list, which was published by HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC), details people and businesses who have received financial penalties for either deliberately failing to comply with tax obligations or deliberately filing errors in tax returns.
HMRC’s Publishing Details of Deliberate Defaulters (PDDD) routinely releases the information of those who made at least one deliberate default on more than £25,000 following an investigation publicly. Details are only published once the penalties are final.

2. BBC comedy sitcom films scenes in popular Bracknell café
A Bracknell landmark has been spotted in BBC One’s newest comedy drama.
Avoidance, the six episode sitcom created by Romesh Ranganathan and Benjamin Green is a bittersweet comedy series about a man with severe conflict avoidance issues who is forcede to change for the sake of his son.
The prominent Bracknell café next to the bus station, ‘Bus Station Cafeteria Ltd’ was first seen 3 minutes 17 seconds into the first episode where the main character, Jonathan, is having breakfast with his son Spencer.

3. Royal Ascot 2022: Best dressed Royals and celebs
Celebrities and Royalty swarmed the famous Berkshire racecourse this week to not only watch some of the world’s best racing but also to showcase some incredible designers.
From high street to couture, every brand was showcased among the stands this year as we seen the beginning of a new era in satirical fashion.
Among the Royal, the junior members really pulled out all the stops this year. The Countess of Wessex’s colourful outfits stood out among the crowd while she mingled with some of the senior Royals. Zara Tindall choose the famous lady’s day on day 3 to showcase her stunning hat that needed to be seen to be believed.

4. New shop to replace unit in The Lexicon, Bracknell
BRACKNELL town centre will have a new phone shop very soon.
Last year, a planning application was submitted to council's planning authority for Fone World to open in Braccan Walk, The Lexicon.
The new phone shop replaces the empty unit next door to TK Maxx.
There is a new shop front display with Fone World erected above the doors.

5. Man arrested for drink driving after being tracked through fields
A man was arrested on suspicion of drink driving after crashing his car on a road in Bracknell Forest.
On June 15, the suspect was tracked across fields and over fences by Bracknell officers and police dogs after abandoning his car following the crash.
The police dog, PD Viper, and his handler were able to direct officers ahead where a male was arrested on suspicion of drink driving.
