A GRAND total of 15 pupils achieved 10 A*-A grades at St Crispin's.

The top performers at the Wokingham school included Issy Tompsett and Rachel Espiner who gained 14 A*s-As, Lexi Price and Masarrah Alchi, who were awarded 13 A*-As and Catrin Rose, Sharon Igbokwe and Ellie Harvey, who scored 12 A*s-As. 

Hebrew, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, French and German were among the wide variety of languages students had studied.

Friends Amy Shute and Amber Noone were at the school this morning (Thursday, August 25) celebrating their successes.

Amy, whose results included three As in history, P.E and business studies and one A* in R.E, was heading to Reading Festival this afternoon.

She said: "I'm going to my nan's first and then I'm going to celebrate, I really didn't want Results Day to ruin the weekend for me!"

Amber, who achieved two As in business studies and philosophy and ethics, also picked up six Bs and one C.

Both girls are planning on to stay on at the school for sixth form in September.

The school, a centre for science, technology, engineering and maths (STEM), achieved 84 per cent A*-C in maths, 97 per cent A*-C in computer science, 95 per cent A*-C in engineering and 100 per cent A*-C in ICT.

St Crispin's Attainment 8 score was C+ while the estimated Progress 8 mark was +0.29.

A total of 75 per cent achieved A*-C in English and maths and the Ebbac grade was 25 per cent.

Headteacher Ginny Rhodes said: "We are delighted with our students' achievements under the new measures.

"We would like to thank students, parents and carers for their commitment and hard work over the last two years."
